Dignitary # 166 (illustrated by Lars Brown)

Dream and his lover, Killalla Of The Glow, travel to a palace amongst the stars to attend the parliament concerning zones of responsibility and the merits of obligation for creation.

As the parliament begins, Dream tells Kilalla that she should enjoy the palace while he is attending the discussions. He tells her that she can walk through the gardens or return to their rooms simply by wishing it.

This Dignitary is one of many who is standing on the steps talking with another dignitary in attendance.

He appears in the background in Endless Nights, in the story, The Heart Of The Star, on page 8 in panel 2.

Bar Patron # 13 (illustrated by Kai Martin)

In 1489, Dream and Hob meet for the second time.

Hob is curious about Dream and wants to know if he is a demon or a wizard or a saint. Since Hob is now over a hundred years old he is curious about why he hasn’t yet died.

This man is one of the bar patrons in the pub during this meeting. He is talking to a woman who is also at the pub.

This man appears in Sandman # 13, on page 6, in panel 2.

Patient (illustrated by Anna Hybsier)

Daniel Bustamonte was one of many who succumbed to the sleeping sickness in 1926.

He was taken to a hospital to get care.

In 1939 he was still in the hospital in Jamaica and this man was in the same room as Daniel.

This patient is in Sandman # 1, on page 18, in panel 2.

Roman Citizen # 81 (illustrated by Mateus Compart)

Augustus Caesar and the dwarf Lycius spend the day sitting on some steps near the marketplace dressed as beggars. As citizens pass they discuss politics, power, personal legacy and dreams.

This citizen is spending the afternoon in the Roman market near the steps where Caesar and Lycius are sitting.

He appears in one of the panels that contains a large number of other Roman citizens, which is visually amazing, but incredibly crowded with Roman Citizens.

This panel is in Sandman # 30, page 13, and is panel 4.

Dignitary # 239 (illustrated by Max Rugers)

After Dream discovers Kilalla kissing Sto-Oa he decides that it is time for him to leave the parliament.

As Dream enters the courtyard, looking for Mizar, he sees Despair speaking to Rao about the nature of the beauty of life.

This Dignitary is gathered with a group of other dignitaries in the courtyard not far away from Despair and Roa.

He appears in Heart Of The Star, on page 18, in panel 1.

Serial Killer # 37 (illustrated by Lars Brown)

Not all serial killers look frightening or suspicious and this man is a perfect example of a deadly killer who can easily blend into a crowd. He looks like someone you would see walking down your street, the guy you recognize from the grocery store, or maybe even your neighbor.

This man attended the Cereal Convention and was hanging out in the hotel lobby as Nimrod walked around making sure everyone had checked in with registration.

This serial killer appears in Sandman # 14 on page 3, in panel 3. He is sitting on the couch.

Worlds’ End Patron # 59 (illustrated by Max Rugers)

Brant Tucker is one of the many people stuck at The Worlds’ End free house as a storm rages outside. He, like the others, listen to some of the other patrons tell stories, but he also wanders around the inn and sees a wide range of people and creatures who are trapped by the storm.

As the night wears on the Brant speaks to the innkeeper about Worlds’ End and how the inn is a refuge when the world ends, even if it’s only for a little while.

This character is in the background, sitting at one of the tables in the inn enjoying a cold drink and probably listening to stories, similar to Brant.

He appears in Sandman # 56, on page 3, in panel 1.
